Terry Barricklow, maintenance repair specialist, Eastern

Terry Barricklow, a maintenance repair specialist at the Eastern Campus, was recently featured in the international magazine, Toy Farmer. Barricklow can be found almost every weekend at an auction, farm toy show, or flea market taking part in his 25-year hobby of farm toy collecting. That hobby – and his finding of a rare toy set – made him the topic of an article in the international magazine.
In 2007, Barricklow bid on a set in an online auction, and won. He is now the owner of the rare Tru-Scale Tractor Safety Aid set that was used in the 1960s by FFA kids to demonstrate the safe use of tractors. He occasionally shows it at toy shows, and no one he’s talked to so far has seen anything like it. Barricklow is thinking about displaying it at the National Farm Toy Museum so more people can enjoy the set.
Barricklow is joined in his hobby by his son and 5 year-old grandson.
