Weidig receives Classified Regional Campus Scholarship
Weidig’s specialized degree has a major emphasis in Child and Family Developmental Studies and a minor in Communication Studies. She is maintaining a 3.57 GPA while holding down three jobs and attending college full time. “Even though I sometimes feel busy, I believe I am doing assorted activities to better myself and my overall confidence,” Weidig said. After graduating, Weidig plans to attend graduate school to become either a Licensed Counselor or Licensed Social Worker. She plans to work with children and families, either in the school system or through children's services. “I would like to take the time to say that I am eternally grateful for this scholarship. The expenses for tuition and books are not affordable to me and I will use the scholarship wisely.” Weidig shared. “Thank you to the Classified Senate for recognizing my efforts and determination.” In addition to Weidig, Jessica Fox, a Child and Family Studies major who attends the Athens campu,s was also awarded a scholarship.
