Beatlemania at OU Zanesville Join the OU Zanesville Cultural Committee for a Third Thursday program at 7pm on Thursday, May 19, as author and Beatle Historian, Dave Schwensen, presents "Beatlemania on the North Coast." Schwensen, author of “The Beatles in Cleveland,” will take you behind the scenes for two of the wildest, out of control concerts in Beatles - and rock 'n roll - history. The program concludes with a rare film of The Beatles riotous 1966 performance at Cleveland's Municipal Stadium. Schwensen has served as a comedy consultant for several television and film productions, including the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman. He has also been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Hollywood Reporter, Back Stage Newspaper, Cleveland Magazine, and Ohio Magazine, among others. Dave has been an entertainment journalist since 1993 with articles published in the United States, Canada and Japan. Rare Beatles memorabilia will be on display beginning at 6:30 pm and again following the program. Books and Cleveland Concert T-Shirts will be available for purchase at university discount prices, and a book signing will take place during an author meet and greet following program. The Third Thursday series provides free cultural, diversity and educational programming during the months of January through November. The event is free and open to the community.
