Art exhibit opening at Zanesville Campus Library
The Fine Arts Department and the Zanesville Campus Library are sponsoring an art exhibit by artist Bob Wetzel. The exhibit will be on display at the Ohio University Zanesville Campus Library beginning April 21 through June 3.
As an artist, Wetzel is known for his unique and eclectic style. He has worked with a variety of mediums ranging from stained glass, painting, and sculpture, to wood, stainless steel, and aluminum. As an artist, he’s not afraid to experiment with color and shape, often producing works that are artistic, yet functional at the same time.
A lifelong resident of Zanesville, Wetzel began the glass company R. Wetzel Glass, making cup plates, figurines, and paperweights. With no formal training in art, Wetzel learned and developed his talents on his own.
A reception will be held on the opening day of the exhibit, April 21, from 5:30-7:30pm at the Zanesville Campus Library. The exhibit is free and open to the public during normal library hours. For information visit http://ouzanesville.org/art, or call 740-588-1404.
