Ohio University–Chillicothe offers a two-year degree program
leading to an Associate in Applied Science in hazardous
materials technology. The program is designed for men and
women interested in the challenging and expanding career
options available in hazardous waste management, control,
and remediation. The goal of this program is to further your
knowledge of the types and effects of various hazardous
substances, as well as to provide clarity on the regulations,
standards, and guidelines established for proper waste disposal. For further information on the program and possible

materials technology program. In order to broaden and
improve your employment opportunities, you are encouraged
to further your education in such bachelor’s degree
programs as industrial hygiene, environmental engineering
technology, or safety sciences.
