Eligibility Requirements: Any new Group I faculty member hired for the fall of 2003 or after is eligible for this program.

1. Each new faculty member may choose to participate in either the first or second year of employment.
   
2. The faculty member will be provided 12 credit hours (or its equivalent) of release time spread over three consecutive quarters, not including the summer quarter, during the academic year(s) in which the release time is granted. The consecutive quarters of release will be worked out with the Campus Dean.
   
3. The faculty member will provide his or her Faculty Chair /Academic Division Coordinator and Campus Dean with a statement of goals prior to the beginning the program and with a statement of activities and accomplishments following the program.
   
4. The faculty member will not participate in overload teaching during the program.
